I can't get enough of this candle. The scent is amazing, just like the smell of a wood burning fireplace. There's no fancy added scents, just pure, beautiful burning wood that evokes feelings of a cozy warm cabin during a snow storm. And the scent is amazingly strong and fills my entire apartment with just the one candle burning. The jar does develop a bit of soot as the wax burns down but there's never any exterior mess. The shape of the jar is elegant and looks great on a table. My favorite part of the candle is the wick. It's amazing and brings the whole thing to another level. It spans a decent part of the middle of the candle and crackles like a fireplace does. Paired with the scent, it's an amazing sensory experience. The candle lasts forever too, which is great because I can't get enough of this candle.

Two out of the four woodwick candles I purchased were shattered! They were shipped in separate packages, but were NOT wrapped well & some only had the large green balloon-type packaging with no individual wrapping at all! The same thing happened in another recent order. I have been buying these candles on-line for several months now & the first few orders were wrapped perfectly, with the sticky bubble wrap on each candle & extra packaging in between them, so I know it can be done! Whoever is working in your shipping department needs to be trained on protecting these fragile items. So I now have to pack up this broken glass, which is quite dangerous, & return it to my local store for a refund. I love the woodwick candles so much, but unfortunately I will no longer be able to enjoy them, as I am disabled & cannot shop in-store anymore!

I've purchased Fireside as wax melts and in the Ellipse form and now have this in the medium size. It's hard to find a good fireplace or fire scent. This one is average. Nothing special but it's acceptable, it does smell some what like fire and a fireplace. It's not cologney, that's a plus as many fire scents use a cologne like scent and it never comes off as a true fire scent. This one is not cologney but is subtle not necessarily weak. The color? Ugh. Gray. Not a fan of gray.

I really love this candle the fragrance and crackling. I have never had a candle that smoked. I called and Was treated very nice and am getting another candle but what makes a candle smoke? I burned it properly trimmed the wick. I know how to take care of candles. I burned medium size and had nothing happen. There was no air blowing on it. What is the longest I can burn at one time? I know the wax should harden before burning again. Tks so much
