Possible chance of lead poisoning
Very dissapointed· Review provided by Target · January 26, 2024
I purchased and engraved two of these cups through Stanley for both my 12 and 9-year-old daughters to take to school. I also have a two-year-old who loves to grab his siblings cups and play with them. Little did I know the potential dangers hidden within the cup. The bottom piece fell off my 9-year-olds Stanley a couple of weeks ago. I didn’t think anything of it and allowed her to continue carrying it around, bringing it to school, and placing it on her desk everyday to drink out of. I am incensed at the lack of transparency this company has shown. If I hadn’t come across an article stating that there is a potential risk of lead exposure when using these cups, she would have been carrying this poison around with her for months. I will now be taking my 9-year-old to get lead tested and pray that this product did not cause her any harm.
Sturdy and keeps drinks cold

Bought to replace a normal plastic drinking water bottle, as couldn't cope with warm water in summer months. Also wanted a bottle with a straw, rather than drinking from the bottle, as a lot of cheaper alternatives don't have a straw.
Really pleased with it, extremely sturdy, keeps drinks cold for hours. Took it on a hot walking weekend and it was great to have cold water.
It's not leaked on me (others mentioned it has), just have to make sure the lid is fully fitted/screwed on and tightened.
Has a useful sturdy handle for carrying.
It can feel heavy, but not a problem as more importantly I wanted cold water.
It is pricey, luckily I had a JL gift voucher.
Sturdy, will likely get lots of use out of it.
Stanley lives up to the hype!

I’m giving 4 stars because I’m an ice chomper and I hate melted ice or maybe water but regardless it’s definitely going to stay cold. I liked that it’s harder to twist off the top because this means it doesn’t leak. If you have arthritis like me then it may be hard to remove the lid which can be very upsetting. I actually had to get my 14 yr old to open it one day because it was so tight. I got the hot pink and the rose and customized the rose and it was perfect. My daughter dropped one on the concrete accidentally and it seems to be pretty solid because I don’t even see any dents. So all in all it’s a great product and my daughter couldn’t be happier so it’s worth every penny ! Oh and these are cheaper than some of the most “ top selling “ brands. I definitely think they are going to be selling less now that these Stanley’s have emerged!!!
Good

This whirlwind trend to walk around school with a Stanley cup makes my head spin, but this is what my 15 year old daughter wanted for Christmas. Its only been two days, but My daughter loves it. This particular one with the carry handle is most preferred by this family. Its easier to walk around with than the grip handle. With the carry handle you can have multiple items in that hand. As far as durability and cleaning, I'd have to answer that in a year from now. I'd have to Check to see when the mold begins in the sip straw or around the cap seal. The quality seems good, again haven't tried hot, or if its dropped what happens. To store you need to place it on a shelf with obviously the height of the cup. I liked the many different designs. My review title and stars are only based on two days. Use your judgement.
