August 31, 2024I absolutely agree with all the five star comments written in this thread!
I would like to add that purchasing my Adventon Pace 500 has created a much happier and healthier quality of life for this 60 yr old e-bike commuter who has various health challenges: rheumatoid and osteoarthritis which severely limited my ability to even walk.
However, I now commute 60 miles a day, every week day and I now not only own the best e-bike for my needs, but I also possess an eternal ear-to-ear smile that’s a new permanent addition to my face.
My local bike shop was a wealth of knowledge and helped me to come to the conclusion that the Adventon Pace 500 is the ideal choice for my needs. For example, I wanted an e-bike where I could sit more upright, as opposed to leaning forward. The Pace 500 is perfect. I am able to sit vertical placing little weight on the handles which alleviates the potential for wrist, shoulder and finger pain due to my RA condition. Also, I wanted an e-bike that could easily transition from city streets to the winding hills of the country on my commute. The Pace 500 is an extremely solid bike, yet a bit lighter in weight than the Adventon Adventure (which was originally my first choice,) so it is perfect for my needs.
I am now looking into winterizing my Pace 500 so that I can continue the fun of my daily commute all winter long. Northern Vermont winters are extremely cold, but I am determined and I know my Adventon Pace 500 and I can do it!
Great e-bike!

July 18, 2024I’ve had my Pace for just under four months now, and it’s been great. It’s the perfect in many ways with one single caveat. It’s nimble, comfortable, relatively lightweight, and nearly problem free after 800 miles. I’ve had the front disc and both pads replaced since the shop I bought it from hadn’t aligned it properly, but this is hardly Aventon’s fault.
Caveat emptor, however, if steep inclines are a regular thing. This bike severely lacks torque, and if I haven’t misread the specs, it’s only at 35nm. That’s fine for gradual hills, but anything more than that and you’ll wonder if it’s even electric.
This is mostly a non-issue for me given the relatively flat terrain on the east side of Portland, but it does mean that I can’t simply go anywhere with it, and does (somewhat rarely) leave me wondering if I shouldn’t have sprung for a Ramblas after all.
But the amount of enjoyment and practical use I’ve gotten out of this bike quickly pushes that question away. The Pace is worth every penny.
Impressive range, easy going uphill

November 15, 2024This is my first e-bike. I bought it after buying an e-bike for my wife. There are a few steep hills to traverse on the bike trails near my home, so I thought an e-bike will make these more enjoyable.
We tackled those hills on my first bicycle outing after getting the new bike. Wow! Even on the lowest assist level, the hills are so much easier to travel.
We biked a loop approximately 11 miles on this first trip with several hills along the way. I kept the assist level on Eco or Tour for most of the trip, though I did play with the higher assists for a while and used the throttle (the throttle is great for taking off from a stop). When we were done, I had 94% battery life remaining. Impressive!
The color is called "camo". It is not really a camouflage pattern, but a really nice-looking matte green.
My one complaint was the lack of tapped holes for mounting a water bottle cage. I worked around this with a nylon fabric bottle holder that straps on to the frame. It is not as secure as a screw-on cage, but it does the job.

February 20, 2023Just got this ebike for my 55th birthday after researching many bikes. Installation/assembly was simple due to the 4 minute Youtube video that Aventon produced. I was concerned about his hard was it to assemble until I saw that video and it was very easy. Make sure to inflate tires to 30-50 psi as it didn’t say on video that tires come out of box at only 11 psi.
I rode the bike today and it is elite and the tesla of ebikes. It is very easy to control and has lot of power when going up hills. It can basically make it up good size hills just using throttle but will slow down but if you go to pedal assist 3 and pedal it can fly up the hill. There is no resistance either when you pedal up hill with pedal assist 3 or higher as its a breeze.
I connected my iphone to the panel via Bluetooth to keep track of my trips. I was close to getting step through version but says max height on that bike is 6-1 and Im 6-2 with shoes so i got the step over and its been very good. The kickstand is really sturdy and the battery fits very nicely in the frame.
The only downside Ive noticed is that there is no suspension or shock absorber as the ride can get very bumpy on cement roads that are older - got to hold on to the handle bars tight when driving over these roads.
Overall this ebike is excellent and has lot of power and is fairly light (50lbs). I look forward to riding my Pace 500.2 every day as there is nothing more enjoyable than riding in the fresh outdoors breathing the air riding effortlessly up and down roads with the wind breezing through your helmet. Its simply an amazing feeling and its effortless if you choose pedal assist.
Get this bike as its The best out there just like Tesla rules Ev market - Aventon is top notch!
