[Rewarded Review] The Ultimate Running Companion: Nike Invincible 3 Review
Nick93ALOˇ Review provided by dickssportinggoods.com ˇ July 24, 2024
I've been an avid runner for years, and finding the perfect shoe has always been a challenge—until I found the Nike Invincible 3. This shoe is an absolute game-changer in terms of comfort and performance.

First off, the comfort level is off the charts. The React foam cushioning feels like walking or running on clouds. It provides just the right amount of bounce and support, whether I'm doing a quick 5k or tackling a longer marathon training session. The plush collar and padded tongue ensure a snug yet incredibly comfortable fit without any irritation or pressure points.

The design is also top-notch. It's sleek and modern, and the upper material is breathable, keeping my feet cool and dry even during intense workouts. The shoe feels lightweight on my feet, which adds to the overall comfort and agility.

Durability-wise, the Nike Invincible 3 holds up exceptionally well. The outsole provides excellent traction, even on wet surfaces, and shows minimal wear after months of regular use. This speaks volumes about the quality and craftsmanship that Nike has put into this shoe.

In terms of style, the Nike Invincible 3 is versatile enough to pair with both workout gear and casual wear. The color options are attractive, and the overall aesthetic is sporty yet understated, making it a great choice for everyday wear.

Overall, I can't recommend the Nike Invincible 3 enough. Whether you're a seasoned runner looking for the ultimate in comfort and performance or someone who simply values quality footwear, this shoe delivers on every front. It's comfortable, durable, stylish, and truly lives up to its name as a game-changer in the world of running shoes.
If you have actual wide feet this is the shoe!

Unbelievable, Nike of all the brands makes a running shoe that doesn't just say it's wide and there i just more shoe volume, but actually the base of the shoe is actually wide. I don't have a big foot, short instep, and kinda narrow going back towards my heels, however for my foot side it is wide and my foot does not hand off the end of the insoles in this shoe or in my invincible 2's. Plenty of room in these in the for foot area side to side and I am grateful since I've suffered from edge blisters for many years because ill fitting shoes and these do not cause them.

Some cons, are the heel lockdown isn't as easy to achieve as the heel counter just doesn't cup the heel like other shoes. However just lace correctly or use a runners knot and you'll be fine. I've read and heard after around 100 miles the heel slipping issue goes away as the shoe is broken in well at that point. Also the upper in the instep area to me is a bit stiff and does not wrap the foot well when pulling the laces tight which to my also contributes to the heel slippage issue, again after break in, I think that issue will go away. There is less cushion in the forefoot than in the invincible 2, also the invincible 2 fit so much better out of the box than the 3's. Now the con's said, I will keep these and use them just because of the width alone, I can deal with the other dislikes until the shoe is broken in.

Hopefully Nike will listen and when the 4's come out please keep the wide size available and add back things that made the invincible 2 an amazing!

Also please consider adding this kind of wide sizing to some of your other running shoes, not everyone have narrow feet!
[Rewarded Review] Feel great but CAUTION: Retain sweat!
ForgotMyName27ˇ Review provided by dickssportinggoods.com ˇ October 2, 2024
These may be some of the most enjoyable shoes to use for long workouts, from the point of view of the foot bed (comfort, fit, energy return), but in over 40 years of running, I have NEVER had a pair of shoes retain so much sweat that by the end of the workout, it feels like somebody poured a glass of water in each sock. That's NEVER been an issue for me. Never even CONSIDERED it!

The "flyknit" upper acts like it's a solid piece of goretex. It does not allow for almost any breathability. I'm honestly tempted to cut really small holes in the uppers to allow for breathability. Yes. It IS that bad.

Aside from the sneakers retaining moisture during the workout, they take AT LEAST THREE DAYS TO DRY OUT afterwards.

OK. Now the good. Decent fit. First pair of Nikes I could fit into in almost 20 years. Previously D's were too narrow, and EE/EEEE were clown shoe floppy. These are Ds, fit fairy snug but not TOO snug; just right that they'd break in and stretch just enough to be great.

Slight heel gap, but I use KT tape on the heels so, as of now, after a couple of workouts, have not yet noticed a rub. Hoping that continues.

I love the feel of these. More important is the energy return. Near the end of my workouts, my feet and legs are ready for more (usually they just hurt). Seriously, the comfort and energy return on these shoes are AMAZING.

Just having to deal with the moisture retention issue. I want to love these shoes and order three more pairs. I'm tempted, but with all the moisture, I'm worried they're going to fall apart too soon.

I'm going to say I would recommend them, but if I did, I'd warn about the moisture issue as I did so.
Really Great Cushion!

The Invincible is a shoe that I love but have a few criticisms of. When it comes to running, the cushion is really the biggest game-changer here. The softness of the ZoomX foam combined with the rocker in the midsole creates a great transitional runner that feels great when taking strides. On the negative side, though, I find that the sizing is slightly "Wonky". I have enough room in the toe without it feeling like my foot is swimming, but my ankle tends to slip out of the back. A runner's lace helped with this a bit, but after a long work day I found a small blister on my right ankle. The other issue I have is with the tongue. When it sits flat, it feels normal, but if it gets bunched up or shifts at all it causes some discomfort. For a runner looking for something above entry level but not incredibly advanced, I think this would be a great option. If you can figure out how to deal with the heel slipping and the tongue issues better than I can, It will work well a "Standing all day" shoe.
