[Rewarded Review] Feel great but CAUTION: Retain sweat!
ForgotMyName27· Review provided by dickssportinggoods.com · October 2, 2024
These may be some of the most enjoyable shoes to use for long workouts, from the point of view of the foot bed (comfort, fit, energy return), but in over 40 years of running, I have NEVER had a pair of shoes retain so much sweat that by the end of the workout, it feels like somebody poured a glass of water in each sock. That's NEVER been an issue for me. Never even CONSIDERED it!

The "flyknit" upper acts like it's a solid piece of goretex. It does not allow for almost any breathability. I'm honestly tempted to cut really small holes in the uppers to allow for breathability. Yes. It IS that bad.

Aside from the sneakers retaining moisture during the workout, they take AT LEAST THREE DAYS TO DRY OUT afterwards.

OK. Now the good. Decent fit. First pair of Nikes I could fit into in almost 20 years. Previously D's were too narrow, and EE/EEEE were clown shoe floppy. These are Ds, fit fairy snug but not TOO snug; just right that they'd break in and stretch just enough to be great.

Slight heel gap, but I use KT tape on the heels so, as of now, after a couple of workouts, have not yet noticed a rub. Hoping that continues.

I love the feel of these. More important is the energy return. Near the end of my workouts, my feet and legs are ready for more (usually they just hurt). Seriously, the comfort and energy return on these shoes are AMAZING.

Just having to deal with the moisture retention issue. I want to love these shoes and order three more pairs. I'm tempted, but with all the moisture, I'm worried they're going to fall apart too soon.

I'm going to say I would recommend them, but if I did, I'd warn about the moisture issue as I did so.
Really Great Cushion!

The Invincible is a shoe that I love but have a few criticisms of. When it comes to running, the cushion is really the biggest game-changer here. The softness of the ZoomX foam combined with the rocker in the midsole creates a great transitional runner that feels great when taking strides. On the negative side, though, I find that the sizing is slightly "Wonky". I have enough room in the toe without it feeling like my foot is swimming, but my ankle tends to slip out of the back. A runner's lace helped with this a bit, but after a long work day I found a small blister on my right ankle. The other issue I have is with the tongue. When it sits flat, it feels normal, but if it gets bunched up or shifts at all it causes some discomfort. For a runner looking for something above entry level but not incredibly advanced, I think this would be a great option. If you can figure out how to deal with the heel slipping and the tongue issues better than I can, It will work well a "Standing all day" shoe.
The end of Ultraboost

Randomly came across these pair of shoes at a friends house who was trying to sell them for a bigger size but waited to long to return them and i instantly fell in love and ordered a pair in my size on the spot. Now mind you, i was currently wearing yeezy slides which are the most comfortable footwear adidas offers! So i tried on the shoes and in a blink of an eye i wanted to get rid of all my adidas ultra boosts i had sitting on my shelves at home! These are true to size ULTRA comfortable and stylish! Now, ive been a Nike man all my life from the air max technology to huaraches to lunar technology! Then adidas made me jump ship with their slides and ultraboosts because they were comfortable and stylish at the time…until now. These shoes are soo comfortable that id wear them to bed! Nike outdid themselves with this one. Transaction was smooth and shipping was a breeze! I definitely have to get another pair with the cool colors-
Well-cushioned training shoes

The shoes are well cushioned, and I appreciate the outsoles overall. I also like the wider toe box and wish that Nike would make their racing shoes as wide as these. The uppers could be better, as my heel slips in them, but they are breathable. That said, I would not use them racing or anything like that. They perform well enough as a nice pair of training/recovery shoes, as they offer enough comfort. If you are looking for a pair shoes that are light in terms of weight, look elsewhere because these are quite heavy. My pair sometimes hurt the upper part of my left foot near the top lacing area, but gets a little better when I mess with lacing, or loosen them up. I do wish the laces were a little more stretchy, as that might help with the slight discomfort. I have ran some half-marathon distances in them (Strava - 59684519) and they seem to hold up well.
