FUN

I went to our bike shop to buy my wife an ebike. She tested a sinch 2.0, and loved it, she was like this is so much fun. So I tested it also, and we bought 2. So we have a 5th wheel rv and we will be able to fold them up and take them with us. The bike is zippy, quick throttle response when operating the non pedal assist, very nice steady pedal assist even in the lowest setting which is eco. We rode 14 miles on the bike path in south lake tahoe to Camp Richardson, and it was just effortless. The bike computer has a wonderful color display. The bike has turn signals and a head lamp. Some other ebikes require a key to be left in the battery, not on this bike. You can take the key with you to remove the battery, to deter theft. The bike is not perfect, be careful when you fold the bike so the front half of the frame folds back onto the back half of the frame. We have pannier bags that cushion the frame and also use a towel. When you unfold the bike take very close attention to the Internal cables are in the proper place. I almost clasped the frame on a cable that didn't retract back into the frame, it was just a matter of gently pushing/guiding the cable back into the hole. We absolutely love these bikes. Oh and the longevity of the battery is awesome. My bike today at lake tahoe mostly flat on eco mode the whole time took the battery from 100 to 90% 14 miles. My wife's bike went from 100 to 87%, she used the full throttle a couple times. We are getting ready for a trip to Oregon and we will be riding every day sightseeing.
Loving my Sinch 2.0

I'm a newbie to the world of e-bikes and after tons of research and reading and watching reviews I decided to purchase the Aventon Sinch 2.0. Very very happy that I did, I have a wonderful local dealer (Colorado Springs Bike Shop) who has been super helpful. After 2 days and 60 miles of road and trail riding I'm so impressed with this powerful bike. Things that I love, it folds up nice and small and I can load it in my Explorer and no need for a bike rack. Battery / motor is a great setup and can get me about (real world driving) 30-35 miles per charge. I'm 5' 11 and 270 pounds, so I'm on the big side :) LOL. And Colo Spgs will never be described as "flat". So I'm very impress with what this bike can do. Now a few things that I wish Aventon had did better, a seat with a little more cushion. I'm currently looking for a seat with a little more comfort for my back side. The biggest omission that I think really needs to be addressed is the lack of hydraulic breaks on this beautiful bike. With all the wonderful technology they have incorporated in the Sinch IE a torque sensor, turn signals and break lights, amazing display and phone app. why leave out great breaks?? Well that is my quick review.
Great bike with some erganomic drawbacks

Quality wise, the Sinch is very well put together compared to other branded ebikes of a similar make/style. Not having fenders, lights, or racks pre-installed on the Sinch 1 was somewhat of a bummer (which has now been rectified in the Sinch 2, released 1 week after I bought the Sinch 1 haha), but gives the bike a nice clean aesthetic.

The motor tackles inclines respectably for a single 500w, and with the array of gears available, ghost pedaling is a non-issue. Even manually pedaling without the motor, I can manage 10-12mph without really breaking a sweat. The speed ramp on the throttle is very gradual compared to the "all or nothing" nature of most other ebikes, but it also feels safer when taking off since it doesn't just suddenly jerk forward.

The only thing about this bike out of the box that's been a noticeable drawback are the ergonomics. For someone that's 5'8" the height of the giraffe neck stem and the reach needed for the straight handlebars results in an awkward, slumped riding position that I could really start to feel after 10 miles. Adjusting the seat to a higher position alleviates it somewhat, but also causes me to slip forward to maintain an upright stance while pedaling. Having swept back handlebars would've been a great comfort boon, but I can see how it might interfere with the foldability of the bike.

So while it's not the perfect biking experience, overall I'm very happy with the Sinch 1.
Sinch 1 is a much better bike

I'd like to say what a great purchase this was and how much better it is over the Sinch1 Step Through. I am horribly disappointed. The handlebars on this bike are way too tall even at the minimum setting. The rear rack is small and too close to the seat tube. If you put a basket on there you will not be able to lower the seat unless you mount it far back. As with any foldable bike, the pedals are terrible. I finally rode it and my thoughts on it got worse. I had a scraping sound coming from the rear rotor and figured the brakes needed adjusting. The screws that hold the caliper to the frame have washers which are wider than the screw heads. The washers were scraping the rear rotor and the slots which allow adjustment for the caliper are not cut deep enough. Even with the caliper at its furthest from the center of the bike, those washers scraped. The only positives are the added lights(which are very bright even in daylight) and the new torque sensor assist. It feels much more natural of a ride. Other than that, I would stick with the sinch 1 step through. The feel of the new model is so much worse than the first. If they had left the bike alone except for the lights and torque sensor assist, it would have been great. Too much other stuff was changed and not for the better. Lots of the accessory hardware is set so the heads are to the inside of the bike and are not readily accessible. If the fenders and rack aren't set to your liking, you will either have to remove the wheels or struggle another way to get to them. I am one who believes in making a product which is very user friendly and easy to do regular necessary maintenance. I usually do the work myself, but this thing is such a disappointment that I'd rather send it back than do any work myself or take it somewhere and waste even more of my time. Not sure what they did with the frame geometry, but it feels even more compact than the original. They should have left it alone except for the torque sensor. I cannot say anything bad about the original Sinch, which is exactly why I purchased this one. My original Sinch I was able to test ride. This one I did not because I figured it was the same bike. These bikes are not the same.
