This is an EXCELLENT home theater TV SYSTEM
Joe VS· Review provided by LG · April 21, 2024
After having this system for six months now and have had extensive time to use it with all the features, for the price, this is one of the better LED televisions you can purchase. I have had quite a few large format televisions over the past 25 years all the way back to the $15k "plasma" TV's when they first came out which was all the rage since it was the first true leap past cathode ray tube televisions. The detail and crispness of the image is very good and these LED televisions just seem to be getting better and better with each passing year and new technology and upgrades. The contrast of color on this TV is very dynamic and it can separate colors very distinctly in a close range which is very difficult to do as a lot of TV's don't have this good of resolution and the colors around the edge lines and in separating moving objects. Not this TV, it can really separate color well and still retain a very good overall image. What I love most about this TV over some other brands is the fact that LG really thought about integration. I would highly recommend you get the accompanying soundbar designed specifically to go with this OLED EVO television series. The rear speaker accessories are also a must. And finally, I recommend the LG blu-ray player to complete the system. Everything integrates beautifully with the Dolby-Atmos system and their proprietary "WOW orchestra" which seemlessly links the entire system together allowing everything to be controlled by the LG TV remote which also controls the sound-bar, rear speakers, and blu-ray player! ONE Remote! It's a fantastic system for the price and I assure you it will have sufficient power to deliver satisfying booms, bangs, thumb's, and bumps on your favorite movie. I have a pretty large basement and it works surprisingly well. Oh, and finally, the fact that you can also easily control the entire system from your smart phone APP is great. The app is free, easy to download, and is simple to use. It really opens up all the features of the surround sound system and you can customize it however you want even allowing you to control the sub woofer, rear surround sound speakers, center channel, overhead firing speakers, and the mid-range/tweeters of the sound bar all independently to your own liking. Overall, it's a well thought out, great sounding, easy to set up, and easy to use system. I would highly recommend this to a person(s), or family looking for a good, easy to set up, and use system for a fair price. If you are looking for the true sound of a 7 to 11 channel separate surround sound hi-fi system, this isn't for you, but I doubt a person who wants that would be looking for something like this system anyway. But for the average person or family looking to "upgrade" their existing LG OLED-EVO TV, YES, I do highly recommend this system, meaning the Sound bar with the extra available LG rear surround speakers that are designed specifically for this system, their proprietary WOW Orchestra which integrates everything perfectly after just a little knowledge and the download of the APP. The download of the APP is optional but you will certainly get more use of the system with the APP. The APP also has an easy slide switch called "Night mode" which turned all the bangs, and booms off so you don't disturb the whole house watching a movie late at night. Lastly, there is an AUTO CALIBRATION feature on the APP which automatically calibrates the entire system specifically to your room based on where you install your speakers! The auto calibration is a really nice feature and simple to use. Simply install your speakers where you want them in your room. Go into the APP and hit "Auto Room Calibration" and it will take about a minute to calibrate the system to your room going through a series of loud tones, beeps, and white noise. It optimizes all the speakers in the entire system including the mains, sub woofer, and surrounds based on where every speaker is in the room and how the sound is created bouncing off of what existing walls, furniture, and obstacles are present. It's not a professional calibration by any means, BUT, it does do something, and it's a really nice feature to have in the system and really does optimize the sound inside the room your system is in. Always do your own research and demo in person when you are looking at a TV, stereo, or blu-ray player. Never just go off of what you see on the internet. It makes a HUGE difference going and seeing the system in person. I was convinced I wanted a different brand system until I went to the dealer and observed that system in person. Once I saw this system in operation, the features, and mainly the system integration of everything working as a system, I changed my mind and got this system and I do not regret it so far. The Television itself has a lot of streaming app ability as any TV does now days. It also has a lot of settings that are customizable in the AUDIO/VIDEO settings including "FILMMAKER MODE" which automatically calibrates the screen to what the filmmaker intended in the movie to look like in the actual movie theater as intended. Sort of like the old "letterbox" mode of years ago (and is still around on some TV's) was supposed to put the movie into the aspect ratio it was shown in the cinema. There is also a mode called AI Voice Pro which increases the voices on a tv show, concert, or movie. You can also put the soundbar into STEREO mode if you want to play CD's or stream music, or watch a concert or TV (and it does sound fantastic in that mode turned up playing some good Pink Floyd!).
[Rewarded Review] Fantastic sound and awesome viewing!

When I ordered this C Series I was sceptical if I should I buy another LG OLED tv, as how could they improve such a nice tv. However I did go ahead and buy this LG OLED C4 series and when it did arrive I wasn’t really impressed with the look of the packaging as it didn’t give me much excitement to look at a plain box, it could have been more colourful and printed but I guess to save the environment it came without any colours.
After setting up the TV, I realised that the sound quality has improved so much, by this I mean the depth of sound and at low volume it just sounded so loud. Also the picture quality is very impressive too, it just looks crystal clear and there are different presets available for different viewings. The brightness is very good and impressive along with the HDR setting which sets it alight from other tv’s that I’ve used. The viewing angles from the sides is just as impressive as looking from the front as the colours don’t fade. The good thing about this tv is that it has 4 hdmi ports which are all 144 hertz and are good for gamers along with the dashboard that can be used while playing so I could change the settings to suit the game I am playing. The remote for this tv is similar to the previous model I had and it looks too plastic and cheap but it does have good functions as the pointer is helpful when I want to select things and it also has a scrawler along with one touch buttons to some regular apps that I use to watch films. This tv also supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos and that makes a lot of difference when watching certain programs and playing games.
However there are a few things that I’m not really impressed with that they could have changed from the previous model I had and that was the power cable which is set permanent and can’t be made long so it could be short from your socket and also the ports are all on one side of the tv as before they were split on the back and some on the left side to connect your devices. The rear design of the tv doesn’t feel premium as it has a cement type effect which is very rough and not smooth to touch at all. The remote could have been changed to make it feel more premium such as adding metal or titanium as it feels too plastic and cheap. Since using this tv there are too many updates and it just feels annoying to wait while the tv is updating but at least it feels like the updates will make the experience better so it’s worthwhile doing these frequently.
Fantastic tv overall.
[Rewarded Review] OLED Doesn't Disappoint!

The LG C4 series of 4K OLED TV's is an incredible experience. The near infinite contrast ratio of OLED coupled with fantastic brightness levels make this TV a very enjoyable experience in any room. This TV does not leave me wanting for more brightness – at all. Even in a bright room the antireflective coating (which somehow still looks glossy and doesn’t seem to affect sharpness like most others) coupled with some impressive brightness numbers makes for a truly sublime viewing experience.

I am using the 65 inch version as a bedroom TV where it replaces a conventional LED-LCD TV (also an LG). As an avid enjoyer of sci-fi series such as The Expanse, the backlight bleed and rather bright black levels of the old LCD even with region dimming made for a noticeable and dismal experience with longer dark scenes. This C4 OLED may not have the retina melting brightness of a miniled but due to the unbelievable contrast ratio maximum brightness is still much too bright for a dark room. I have settled on 65 for brightness for night time use - bright scenes are still very bright, HDR transitions for bright scenes are still significant enough to make you momentarily squint but not so much that they detract from the viewing experience.

This LG C4 OLED model has some impressive AI driven features intended to improve content on the fly, and from what I have tested they do very well at what they are intended for. Motion is silky smooth and almost feels like native 50/60fps content even when critiques attentively. Whilst all this tech is extremely impressive especially compared to how clunky it has been implemented on TVs of yesteryear, I have a preference for zero or minimal manipulation of the source content by the viewing device. For SDR content isf-darkroom has been my go-to choice, for HDR filmmaker mode appears most true to source.

The picture, brightness, viewing angles, colour, etc are exquisite and leave little to want. However there are a few minor issues. The magic remote does take some getting used to and even after that it is only adequate. It does not feel as premium as a TV of this calibre deserves. All in all I am more satisfied with this TV than any previous TV I have purchased, it really does deliver what it promises and more.
[Rewarded Review] Another top OLED TV from LG
TAli227· Review provided by LG · May 20, 2024
Having owned one of LGs OLED TVs before I had an expectation that this new LG C4 OLED would be of a high quality but the step up and development over the last few years has been larger than I expected. This is really a top TV built to last a long time with a range of smart features built in.
The set up of the TV is straight forward, minimal steps are required if you are using the stand, and the TV itself has a really user- friendly set up process, this guides you through user creation, picture, sound, network and streaming services. Within around 15 minutes I had set up my internet connection, signed into a host of streaming services and set up a picture profile. The TV looks very impressive, with small bezels around the edges and it does feel very much like a giant photo frame. The only slight negative is the stand, for such a large set I think a wider stand would look better, this is still fine and more personal preference.
The controller is the same as many other LG’s, it is effective and simple to use with quick buttons for streaming sites such as Netflix, Prime video, Disney+ and more. If there was one downside I would say the back has a really shiny plastic and from past experience I know this scratches super easy. Not a major issue but considering the price and quality of the TV, the controller doesn’t quite match that standard.

The picture quality of the TV is the real stand out. OLED TV’s always have amazingly deep black tones, and this is exactly the same with brilliant contrast. However, where this improves on previously OLED’s is the brightness, it is considerably brighter than my previous LG OLED. Allowing for better viewing, deeper contrasts and improved range of colour.
Another area of improvement is the sound, this is by no means better than a sound bar or dedicated setup, however it has far greater range than previous LG TV’s and also to me seems to get much louder.
The TV has a raft of built in features such as Chromecast, which is great as my partner uses a fitness app and can now cast directly to the TV without needing a dongle. LG’s webOS operating system has developed over time and again is very simple to use, with a row of your apps which can be customised to your needs.
Overall, I am very pleased with this TV, Watching films and TV has never looked so good, with improved sound and all the feature proof features you will need for many years to come. I would highly recommend .
