I love this book by Sarah Young. Unlike “Jesus Calling” this is not a devotional written as if Jesus is the speaker. Instead the book contains over 40 prayers for us, the readers, to pray to Jesus. The prayers are followed by the verses which inspired them. Each prayer has a page with one verse written in Young’s traditional style and a page with an appropriate painting. “Jesus Listens” inspires the reader to base her prayers on scripture in a beautiful holiday edition.

I love the prayers and devotions. The illustrations are beautiful. The only thing I would say confused me for a moment was the divisions of the themes of Advent. A very small amount for the first few and many for the last two. I actually still haven't found the page that simply says Love.

I purchased 3 books. One for myself and 2 for gifts. They are beautiful and inspiring. The photos are so pretty. The scripture and writing is amazing. What a great way to spend the advent season! I love Sarah Young books. They never disappoint!

Absolutely lovely devotional! The content is true Sarah Young... her words seem to say exactly what you need to say or hear and the book is filled with supporting scripture. The pages are thick and illustrated with beautiful pictures of the season. I've read parts already but I'm really trying to wait for Advent!
