What a great bike with incredible range !

First off….this bike is absolutely gorgeous and I continually receive comments on it. Also…for many folks, it is not really apparent that it is an ebike. It was easy to assemble when received and quick to just start riding.
The ride on this is a little aggressive for this 65 year old rider but when I placed on some Ergon grips and played with seat height using the easy to use dropper post… it is no longer an issue. I am currently using the stock components everywhere else with the addition of Mucky Nutz fenders.
I am 230 pounds and ride 30-50 miles a day, 6 times a week (also have an Aventon Pace 500.3 and a Surly LHT) and find the front fork to be fine. To be sure, most of my riding is on paved streets..or easy trails.
One of the greatest features is the ability to fine tune the assist parameters using the App. I have reduced the assist for the Trail and Turbo modes and yet nudged the ECO mode up. Also…the estimate displayed for how many miles are left on the battery has been pretty accurate. I can get 85-95 miles in ECO mode at 230 pounds, 8 pounds of stuff in a backpack, some hills. This is amazing!
Lastly…the ride is smooth…has easy, responsive handling….and the brakes are fantastic.
I bought the Limited Edition when there was a sale recently plus I received a discount for being a Veteran. (Kudos for that, btw).
This bike is a great value and worth a serious look.
It makes a better commuter than a mountain bike.

The motor works really well and has a ridiculous amount of power on tap. Thankfully there is a cool and easy to use app the adjust the power settings to your liking. As a commuter this bike absolutely shines and it has gobs of range!

As a mountain bike riding true singletrack it's extremely heavy and that makes it much harder to do technical things with it. On top of that, the 465mm chainstays with the added weight make it nearly impossible to pop the front wheel up and this complicates everything from jumping, doing drops, manuals, and so on. I did one drop and I felt like I had to yank my arms out of their sockets to keep the front end from nose diving and then landing was super harsh.

I think having such a large battery, which is great for commuting, is not necessary for mountain biking as most typical trail rides are 15 - 20 or so miles and a battery nearly 1/2 this size could easily do 30 or more miles of singletrack with climbs and such. For a beginner or someone just looking to pedal around off road, it will be fine. But for any serious or more aggressive mountain biking, it needs a diet and shorter chainstays.

Great first attempt and again, the motor is amazing!
Never had this much fun on a bike

I did a lot of research and settled on the Ramblas even though it was a few hundred over my $2k price cap. I have a first gen Lectric and was looking for an e-bike that wouldn’t rattle and clunk all over the dirt trails I like to explore. Since I got it 2 weeks ago I have put over 100 miles on it and ridden roads, dirt, mud, sand, gravel, and a few mildly technical stretches of trail.

First the complaints: 1) you need to get creative to accessorize this bike since there are few holes to screw things into, 2) I kind of miss my throttle, 3) it rattles just a little.

But all in all, I love this bike. It’s beautiful, powerful, very well built, and really versatile. Wheels are really big to get you over rocks and logs and, as a side benefit, make it very easy to ride hands free. The bike is very comfortable. Suspension is great and I can ride for hours with no backache. The torque is awesome and gets you up about any hill. The battery life is amazing. Something I did not expect: I can ride it on roads without power and it’s as quick as my regular mountain bike. Don’t pay a dealer $180 to assemble if you can do basic bike maintenance.

Like the ad says, it pretty much goes anywhere. If you enjoy on and off road biking but aren’t a heavy-duty mountain biker, this bike is perfect.
Above and beyond my expectations

This is my second bike from Aventon. Aventon got me back into biking after a long break with the Sinch. It was the perfect thing at the time. It helped me become way more active and helped me lose 40 lbs. When I saw they were releasing a mid drive mountain bike I was immediately interested. It was the perfect next step and opened up a world to a whole awesome community I didn't know existed. I had high expectations for the Ramblas and this bike blew them away!

It has an incredibly responsive and nimble feel. I read a previous review about having some difficulty with their dropper post. Not the case for me, it performs flawlessly and quickly. I had mine setup by a local dealer which I think helped (shoutout to Green Fleet Bikes in Nashville). The components are truly top notch. They are all high quality feeling and responsive. I thought I'd have to change the seat but I'm surprised it's actually very comfortable. The looks of the bike punch well above its pay grade. I seriously think it looks better than bikes costing twice as much. The custom paint color is special. Sincerely, you could buy this bike and not change a thing and be happy,

The mid drive motor is hard to explain coming from a cadence sensor bike. It's both easier to climb due to torque on tap and a more active experience as the motor is only responsive to your pedaling. I burn more calories on a similar distance ride than a bike with a cadence sensor but I also feel more capable. For me this is perfect and exactly what I was looking for. It feels exactly like regular bike if you just had super human legs.

Hats off to the team. I'm going to keep this bike for a very long time. I also will keep my Sinch for more casual commuter rides! Cheers!
